Football Recap: Lanier Starts off Right with Win over Harrison Central

Lanier gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They strolled past the Harrison Central Red Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 28-12.

Lanier found their leader in sophomore Knolyn Bailey, who rushed for 245 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

Lanier was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Lanier is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Moss Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrison Central, they will welcome Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
