Softball Recap: Wharton Wins Going Away Against Bloomington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wharton). They put the hurt on the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats with a sharp 15-5 win on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

The victory got Wharton back to even at 2-2. As for Bloomington, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Wharton will be playing at home against Stafford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stafford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Bloomington, they will welcome Industrial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Industrial will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bloomington surely won't give up without a fight.
