Baseball Game Preview: Dexter Dreadnaughts vs. Saline Hornets

For the second straight game, Dexter will face off against Saline. The Dreadnaughts will head out to face off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dexter has six straight wins, Saline has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Dexter will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Saline, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Dreadnaughts walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Hornets on Monday.

Mason McAllister tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Chance Sobbry was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Dexter pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Saline, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
