Olympus dropped down to 12-3 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Viewmont Vikings by a score of 6-5. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 11-9.

As for Viewmont, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 15, 2025.

For Viewmont's part, Cash Stump was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Stump has become a key player for Viewmont: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-11 otherwise. Stump was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Gehrig Lee was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Viewmont is 2-1 when Lee posts two or more runs, but 1-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Bam Christopherson, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

While Olympus had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
