Football Recap: Buchholz's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Buchholz put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 20-6 win over the Lake Weir Hurricanes. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The critical scores for Buchholz came from Taylor Booth, Isabella Alexander, and Dunae Chappell.

Buchholz didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Booth led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself. Chappell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Buchholz's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lake Weir, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Buchholz will take on Keystone Heights at 6:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Lake Weir, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 34-0 win against St. John Lutheran on the 27th.
