Basketball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 47-35 to the West Valley Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-35 back in December of 2024.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for West Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Rogers didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-26 defeat against Omak on the 25th. As for West Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Deer Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully West Valley likes a good challenge.
