Basketball Game Preview: Washington Classical Christian Warriors vs. St. Joseph Academy Flashes

After both having extra time off, the Washington Classical Christian Warriors and the St. Joseph Academy Flashes will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Two weeks ago, Washington Classical Christian took a blow against First Baptist Christian Academy, falling 56-28. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Washington Classical Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chloe Krulcik went 5 for 11 on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and four blocks. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Krulcik.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Father Lopez an easy 40-19 victory.

St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Washington Classical Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Washington Classical Christian couldn't quite finish off St. Joseph Academy in their previous matchup back in November and fell 40-38. Can Washington Classical Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
