Basketball Game Preview: Princeton Tigers vs. Wayne Pioneers

The Princeton Tigers will challenge the Wayne Pioneers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wayne will be up against a hot Princeton squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Princeton claimed a resounding 78-8 victory over Bluefield. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-5.

Asia Collins was a one-woman wrecking crew for Princeton as she went 5 for 12 en route to 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Kalee Wright was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Wayne faced Woodrow Wilson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Everything went Wayne's way against Woodrow Wilson as Wayne made off with a 62-36 win. The victory was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Wayne's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Princeton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
