Softball Recap: Lodi Comes Up Short

Lodi dropped their record down to 15-6 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Tracy Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-0 loss on April 9th.

Ashlyn Jubrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

As for Tracy, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

On Tracy's side, Elisa Galli looked comfortable as she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Crivello, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.
