Volleyball Recap: Masterman Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Masterman had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Parkway Center City Bulldogs 3-2. The victory continues a trend for Masterman in their matchups with Parkway Center City: they've now won three in a row.

In the three sets Masterman was on fire: they won each by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 15-0.

Omar Abouelatta paced Masterman's offense, picking up 12 kills. Abouelatta got some help from Joseph Chen and his 12 assists. Chen was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Masterman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Academy at Palumbo on the 14th. As for Parkway Center City, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Samuel Fels at 3:15 p.m.
