There's no place like home for Vassar, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 50-30 margin over the Marlette Red Raiders on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vulcans considering their 12-point performance the matchup before.

Vassar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gaven Kilgore and Chayce Zarko.

Vassar's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Marlette, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Vassar will be playing at home against Caro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marlette, they will venture away from home to face off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
