Basketball Recap: Woodward-Granger Takes a Loss

After flying high against Panorama last Tuesday, Woodward-Granger came back down to earth. The Woodward-Granger Hawks fell to the Van Meter Bulldogs 50-44. The Hawks have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Woodward-Granger's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Van Meter, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodward-Granger will square off against Martensdale-St. Mary's on Monday. Martensdale-St. Mary's will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Woodward-Granger surely won't give up without a fight. As for Van Meter, they will face off against Roland-Story at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
