Volleyball Recap: Avery Wagoner's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northview over Mount Paran Christian

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Mount Paran Christian Eagles. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Avery Wagoner, who had nine digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslene Mercado, who had 11 digs.

Northview now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Mount Paran Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-10.

Northview has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Walker on the 25th. As for Mount Paran Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Marist on the 27th.
