The Laurel Gators will venture away from home to take on the Crestwood Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laurel will be strutting in after a victory while Crestwood will be coming in after a loss.
Laurel barely beat Aquinas the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Gators were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over the Knights on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won four matchups by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Brooke Barragate was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Barragate was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kemy Cistone was incredible, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caitlyn Vigh, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Laurel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Crestwood came up short against Chagrin Falls on Monday and fell 6-3.
Hailey Pesarchick made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Johnson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one double.
Laurel is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Crestwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Laurel has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Crestwood, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Laurel's sizable advantage in that area, the Red Devils will need to find a way to close that gap.
Laurel couldn't quite get it done against Crestwood in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 10-5. Can the Gators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
