Even though they lost, Chandler hit smart and finished the game with only a strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tolleson struck out five times.
On Tolleson's side, they got a massive performance out of Trinity Preciado, who scored four runs and stole five bases while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoenix Preciado, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Chandler's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Tolleson, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chandler will take on Xavier College Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Xavier College Prep will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Chandler surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tolleson, they will head out on the road to challenge Valley Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams will come into the matchup having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
