Baseball Recap: Piedmont Community Charter Takes a Loss

Piedmont Community Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Piedmont Community Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont Community Charter will face off against Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, they will square off against The Master's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Pinnacle Classical Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: The Master's Academy has averaged an impressive 12.8 runs per game this season.
