Recap: Roane County Yellowjackets vs. Harriman Blue Devils
The Roane County Yellowjackets entered their tilt with the Harriman Blue Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Roane County's way against Harriman on Friday as Roane County made off with a 70-47 win. Given Roane County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Harriman is ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexi Rose, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. Rose has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ansley Moore, who scored 13 points.
The victory got Roane County back to even at 3-3. As for Harriman, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Roane County will head out on the road to face off against Lenoir City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harriman, they will be playing at home against Oliver Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
