With a playoff win on the line, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Steele Knights, sneaking past 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Arieanna Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Adlemi Rodriguez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Steele, their loss dropped their record down to 19-11.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cedar Ridge on the 10th. Steele does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
