Soccer Recap: Merritt Island Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Merritt Island had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Rockledge Raiders.

Kaci Underwood and Zoe Flakus scored all three of Merritt Island's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

The victory got Merritt Island back to even at 5-5-3. As for Rockledge, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-8-3 record.

Merritt Island will face off against Satellite at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Satellite will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Merritt Island surely won't give up without a fight. Rockledge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
