Alayna Phillips was a major factor in Desert's win over Boron on Tuesday. Phillips was dialed in as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. It looks like she has Boron's number considering she had a big game the last time she faced them back in March. Phillips has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
