Basketball Recap: Loris Takes a Loss

Loris saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lee Central Stallions. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lee Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Reames, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Reames also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Ke'Myra Dennis, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Loris' loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Lee Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Loris and Marion will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Lee Central, they and Carolina Forest will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Carolina Forest's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
