Soccer Recap: Gladstone Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Gladstone brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They never let the Newport Cubs get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. Gladstone haven't had any issues with Newport recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Gladstone now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Newport, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Gladstone will be playing in front of their home fans against Madras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Gladstone's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Newport, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 6-1 win against Marshfield on the 22nd.
