Volleyball Recap: Linton-Stockton's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Linton-Stockton was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of White River Valley on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Miners fell just short of the Bloomington South Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Miners were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Linton-Stockton wouldn't go down easily and took Bloomington South into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 18-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-9.

Having lost for the first time this season, Linton-Stockton fell to 3-1. As for Bloomington South, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Linton-Stockton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Loogootee at 6:00 p.m. As for Bloomington South, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Evansville Memorial on the 23rd.
