Football Recap: Asher Kendall and Logan Lovenduski Pace Shadow Mountain Defense + How To Watch

Shadow Mountain and North Canyon pushed the score to 58-6 the last time they played North Canyon, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Matadors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-0 win over the Rattlers. Surprisingly, this marked the Matadors' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

One reason for the win was Shadow Mountain's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Asher Kendall and Logan Lovenduski, who racked up four sacks between them. Kendall is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made ten or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Shadow Mountain pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Mountain will face off against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. The match will give the Matadors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for North Canyon, they will challenge Catalina Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
