Volleyball Recap: Legacy's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Legacy won the last time they faced Amplus Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. Legacy blew past Amplus Academy 3-0. The win was nothing new for the Longhorns as they're now sitting on four straight.

While Legacy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-23.

Logan Hanshew paced Legacy's offense, picking up eight kills. Hanshew got some help from Isaiah Moore and his 15 assists. Hanshew also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Mason Watts, racking up three apiece.

Legacy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Amplus Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Legacy will welcome Sunrise Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sunrise Mountain will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Legacy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Amplus Academy, they will square off against Clark at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Amplus Academy is facing Clark at the right time seeing as Clark is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
