Basketball Recap: Leake Central Comes Up Short

Leake Central lost against Northeast Lauderdale two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leake Central Gators took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Leake Central has already played their next contest, an 87-39 loss against Tishomingo County on the 10th. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-42 defeat against Itawamba Agricultural on the 11th.
