Volleyball Recap: Pathway Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Varsity Opponent

There's no place like home for Pathway Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Varsity Opponent on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with Varsity Opponent: they've now won three in a row.

Pathway Christian was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 23-25, 25-17.

Lorena Helmuth paced Pathway Christian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Helmuth got some help from Miriam McDonald and her three assists. Ashlynn Gingerich controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Pathway Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Pathway Christian will challenge Tri-State Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next game (against Faith West Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
