Basketball Recap: Webster City Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clear Lake, Webster City was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS with a 50-44 win. This was a revenge game for the Lynx: when they faced off against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS back in January, they had to take a 57-56 loss.

Webster City pushed their record up to 8-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Coming up, Webster City will square off against St. Edmond at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hampton-Dumont/CAL at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
