Mortimer Jordan and Springville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils will face off against the Springville Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Mortimer Jordan barely beat Corner the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Mortimer Jordan's way against Corner on Thursday as Mortimer Jordan made off with a 21-3 win. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Blue Devils this season.

Harper Pridmore was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Keeton White, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Mortimer Jordan hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Springville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Gulf Shores get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly eight runs.

Springville's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Mortimer Jordan, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Mortimer Jordan skirted past Springville 2-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mortimer Jordan since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
