Softball Game Preview: Firestone Falcons vs. East Dragons

The Firestone Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the East Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Firestone fell victim to Alliance and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Aviators, falling 16-0. The Falcons have struggled against the Aviators recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-1 to McKinley.

Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Firestone's way against East in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Firestone made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
