Volleyball Game Preview: O'Fallon Panthers vs. Father McGivney Catholic Griffins

The O'Fallon Panthers will square off against the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when O'Fallon duked it out with Edwardsville on Thursday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

O'Fallon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Edwardsville work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Father McGivney Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against Bunker Hill by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Minutemen: they've now won six in a row.

Father McGivney Catholic's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for O'Fallon, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-7.

O'Fallon beat Father McGivney Catholic 2-0 in their previous matchup back in June of 2021. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Griffins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
