Volleyball Recap: Schenectady Takes a Loss

Schenectady lost against Saratoga Springs back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots came up short against the Blue Streaks, falling 3-0.

Schenectady took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Jaislyn Loppe and Sela Tatum, who picked up two kills apiece. They were helped by Liliyana Alicea and Jasiya Brothers, who contributed two assists each. Finally, Loppe was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Schenectady's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Saratoga Springs, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Schenectady has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Fort Edward on the 22nd. As for Saratoga Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bethlehem Central on the 19th.
