Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Comes Up Short

After flying high against UR Academy two weeks ago, Providence Classical came back down to earth. The Providence Classical Paladins fell 42-30 to the Gaston Day Spartans on Thursday.

Providence Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Gaston Day, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Classical will venture away from home to challenge Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gaston Day, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Westminster Catawba Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
