Basketball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Bowling Green

Bowling Green's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Veritas Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 66-54.

Despite the defeat, Veritas Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Titus Murrell went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points and five boards. The game was Murrell's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jake Markham, who posted 11 points.

Bowling Green's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Veritas Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-5 record.

Bowling Green will take on North Callaway in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they will face off against Missouri Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
