Basketball Recap: Lutheran North's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lutheran North had lost nine straight headed into Friday's contest, but Cameron Head didn't let it get to ten. The Lutheran North Mustangs were the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over the Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals on Friday thanks in part to Head, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. What's more, he also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in January.

Lutheran North's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Cardinal Mooney Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Lutheran North will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Loyola at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Cardinal Mooney Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-49 victory against Algonac on the 27th.
