Basketball Recap: Booker T. Washington Gets the Win

After losing to Westwood the last time they met, Booker T. Washington decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Booker T. Washington Warriors pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over the Westwood Longhorns on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Leading Booker T. Washington to victory were Malia Johnson and Antaniya Britt. Johnson went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and three steals, while Britt almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Britt continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Booker T. Washington pushed their record up to 16-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Westwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Booker T. Washington nor Westwood have any future games scheduled.
