Soccer Game Preview: Spencer vs. Shaw

The Spencer Greenwave will square off against the Shaw Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Spencer fell victim to Sumter County and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shaw). They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Sumter County on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won three matchups by six goals or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Shaw and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those two contests. As for Spencer, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
