Basketball Game Preview: Beloit Memorial Purple Knights vs. Badger Badgers

The Beloit Memorial Purple Knights will square off against the Badger Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Beloit Memorial is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Como Park, falling 92-67.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Badger's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union Grove. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Broncos are ranked 20th).

Badger's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Beloit Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Beloit Memorial suffered a grim 77-57 defeat to Badger in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Beloit Memorial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
