Basketball Recap: University Bulldogs vs. St. Mary's Academy Wildcats
It's playoff time, and University had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 67-28 win over the St. Mary's Academy Wildcats. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 20 points or more this season.
Addison Harding continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. What's more, she posted five blocks, the most she's had since back in January. Allizzey Madrigal was another key player, shooting 45% from the field on her way to 14 points and six steals.
University was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Mary's Academy only four assists.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aleena Nauman, who put up ten points and three steals. Nauman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Simodynes, who had four points.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 25-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points on average over those games. As for St. Mary's Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-10.
University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-23 win against D'Evelyn on the 12th. St. Mary's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
