Carrollwood Day extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came out on top against the Neumann Celtics by a score of 20-13. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 41-0 victory the Celtics walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2019.

Carrollwood Day found their leader in sophomore Kameron Battle, who rushed for 198 yards. Battle is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 130 every time he's taken the field this season.

Carrollwood Day was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 345 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 238 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Carrollwood Day didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of DJ WIlliams and James Allen. Another thorn in Neumann's side was Zylen Little, who picked up two sacks, made four total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

As for Neumann, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3. They were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the five matchups prior), but Carrollwood Day's defense proved too tough.

Despite the loss, Neumann still got an impressive performance from Jayden Petit, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score.

Carrollwood Day wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-7 win against Victory Christian Academy on the 10th. As for Neumann, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-0 victory against First Baptist Academy on the 10th.
