Volleyball Game Preview: Homestead Broncos vs. Varela Vipers

The Homestead Broncos will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Varela Vipers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Homestead is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunset on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 20-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, everything went Varela's way against Southridge on Tuesday as Varela made off with a 3-0 win. The Vipers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Varela was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-8.
