Basketball Game Preview: Sterling Rangers vs. Beaumont United Timberwolves

Sterling hasn't had much luck against Beaumont United recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sterling Rangers will be home for the holidays to greet the Beaumont United Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. Sterling knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Beaumont United likes a good challenge.

Sterling is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Wells 75-48 on Friday. While the Rangers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Beaumont United has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 50-36 bruising from Marian on Thursday. The match marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sterling's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Beaumont United, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Sterling took a serious blow against Beaumont United when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 75-29. Thankfully for Sterling, Trealyn Porchia (who went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
