Marist had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the Lithonia Bulldogs 66-29. The War Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Marist had a senior duo take command as Owen Ritger went 10 of 13 to rack up 23 points and Trace Gaynes went 6 for 13 on his way to 14 points and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Gaynes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Walsh, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Marist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Marist pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Lithonia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Marist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lithonia, they have already played their next contest, a 56-25 defeat against Lovejoy on the 8th.
