Basketball Game Preview: Sutherland Sailors vs. Medicine Valley Raiders

The Sutherland Sailors will head out to face off against the Medicine Valley Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sutherland is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 51-19, which was the final score in Sutherland's tilt against Hitchcock County on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Sailors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Falcons are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, Medicine Valley didn't have too much trouble with Mullen on Saturday as they won 49-31.

Medicine Valley is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Sutherland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
