Baseball Recap: Cookeville Victorious

Cookeville came out on top against Creek Wood on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Cavaliers took their matchup against the Red Hawks 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Cole Teeters was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Cookeville's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Creek Wood, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.

Cookeville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 victory against Stewarts Creek on the 22nd. Creek Wood has also already played their next contest (against East Hickman County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
