Basketball Recap: Vernon Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

On Friday, the Vernon Vikings didn't have quite enough to beat the Chatham Cougars and fell 53-51. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vernon's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Chatham, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vernon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on High Point at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. Chatham also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against New Providence at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
