Douglas has gone 9-1 against Lander Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bearcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Douglas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Riverton, who was ranked fifth at the time (Douglas was ranked sixth). The Bearcats had to suffer through a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered since September 20, 2024.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lander Valley and Torrington meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Trailblazers 42-16. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Lander Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Douglas, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Douglas was able to grind out a solid win over Lander Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 20-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
