Volleyball Game Preview: Riverdale Chieftains vs. Brookwood Falcons

The Riverdale Chieftains will head out to square off against the Brookwood Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverdale will be strutting in after a victory while Brookwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Riverdale's tournament run continued when they took on New Lisbon on Tuesday. The Chieftains came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 3-1. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Brookwood took on Cashton on Thursday. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Brookwood started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-20, 27-25.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 15-19. As for Brookwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-9.

Riverdale beat Brookwood 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2019. Do the Chieftains have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
