Volleyball Recap: Nevada Union Takes a Loss

Nevada Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the University Prep Panthers. If the Miners were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nevada Union's offense was headlined by Malis Milone-Hang and Lucy Pfaffinger, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Ellyse Havlorson and her 16 assists. Pfaffinger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Nevada Union now has a losing record of 2-3. As for University Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Nevada Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Hilmar on the 29th. As for University Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Spanish Springs on the 29th.
