Cajon took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Aquinas, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cowboys skirted past the Falcons 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Cowboys as they're now sitting on three straight.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (111-109) Cajon actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 18-25, 25-22, 23-25, 17-15.

Annalisia Garcia paced Cajon's offense, picking up 17 kills. Garcia got some help from Sayra Corona and her 35 assists. Finally, Manaya Odom kept Cajon's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Cajon now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Aquinas, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6.

Cajon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Yucaipa on the 16th. As for Aquinas, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Xavier Prep on the 10th.
